In 2012, our story began with lobbying for the re-legalization of industrial hemp.

Graham was called crazy back in the day when all he spoke about was hemp and the benefits the plant can bring. 

In 2017, Graham partnered with the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, James Madison University, and Virginia State University. 

Redfern developed a research program with these universities to study agronomic field studies which would then be published for the state research program. 

In 2019, Virginia legalized the commercial sale of hemp. 

Graham started Redfern Hemp Co. as a small vertical operation that farms, manufactures, and sells Wholesale and Retail hemp products. 

In 2022, Redfern Hemp Co. expanded into the Brick and Mortar space with its first storefront in Caroline County, call the Redfern Market.
