At Redfern Market, we love connecting with creatives who are deeply rooted in their craft — and this week we had the pleasure of welcoming Ash of MightyAshTattoos into the shop.
We first met Ash at the Richmond Tattoo Convention and instantly connected over art, intention, and community. When she came by the market, she met with Social Media Director Corey and team member Gabi to film content, talk shop, and explore how our products align with the tattoo world.
During her visit, Corey gave Ash a full tour of Redfern Market — walking her through the store, explaining products in detail, and discussing potential benefits and real-world applications. A Richmond Tattoo Artist with a Botanical Foundation
Ash is a Richmond local who studied at Virginia Commonwealth University, earning her degree in scientific and botanical illustration. That formal training is evident in her tattoo work — especially in her detailed linework, balanced compositions, and organic flow.
Early in her tattoo career, she found her artistic home in black and grey dotwork imagery, a style that beautifully complements her love for texture, depth, and storytelling.
Nature, Fantasy & Story-Driven Tattoos

Her private room at the shop reflects her aesthetic — a small garden space filled with greenery and curated trinkets, creating an immersive and calming experience for her clients.
When she’s not tattooing, Ash spends time practicing yoga, rock climbing, paddle boarding, and strolling around Richmond with her corgi, Bear. That connection to movement and nature clearly feeds her artistic style.
