Looking Back & Running Forward
Redfern Hemp Co. | 2025 in Review
As 2025 comes to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on a year shaped by people, place, and purpose. From the steady work on our Caroline County farm to conversations at markets, concerts, and community gatherings across Virginia, this year reminded us that Redfern Hemp Co. is built on connection as much as cultivation.
At every step, our community showed up. We spent another season vending at Doswell’s After Hours concert series, sharing space with neighbors, music lovers, and longtime supporters. We partnered with fellow hemp advocates at the Ashland Theatre to showcase The Green Buffalo, continuing important conversations around hemp, sustainability, and innovation. In the growing pickleball space, we were proud to work alongside top-ranked pro Jhonnatan Medina-Alvarez, exploring new ways hemp intersects with active lifestyles .
Growing More Than Hemp
On our 42-acre farm in Caroline County, 2025 was another chapter in our commitment to regenerative hemp farming. For us, this work has never been about a single harvest. It is about rebuilding soil health, protecting seed genetics, and investing in long-term agricultural resilience. Healthy soils and resilient seed banks are the foundation of the hemp future we are growing toward, and this year reaffirmed why that work matters .
Education played a larger role than ever before. Throughout the summer, we welcomed groups to the farm to learn firsthand about regenerative practices and sustainable agriculture. We believe participation alone is not enough. Sharing knowledge and bringing others into the process is how meaningful change takes root. These farm visits and conversations were some of the most rewarding moments of the year.

From Farm to Kitchen to Community
Behind the scenes, our kitchen production continued to reflect what our customers expect from us. Every product we make is developed with intention, produced carefully, and held to strict standards. Virginia hemp products are highly regulated, leaving no margin for error, and we take that responsibility seriously. From testing every batch to maintaining compliance in our inspected kitchen, quality and consistency remain non-negotiable .
Listening to our customers guided innovation throughout the year. From chocolates and gummies to new formulations, feedback shaped what we made and how we made it. We make products for people, not shelves, and that mindset continues to guide every decision.
Looking Ahead to 2026
As we look toward 2026, we do so with gratitude and excitement. 2025 was a year of steady growth on the land, meaningful engagement in our communities, and deeper conversations around the future of hemp in Virginia. The year ahead holds new opportunities, new partnerships, and more chances to gather, learn, and celebrate together.
Thank you to everyone who visited the farm, stopped by a market, shared a conversation, or supported our work in any way this year. We are proud of what we’ve built together, and we look forward to continuing the journey.
Here’s to running forward into 2026.
